Cold Busting Green Smoothie

Everyone I talk to at the moment is full of cold so thought I would remind you all about Green Smoothies and how amazing they are for your health!  The wonderful thing about Green smoothies is that they only take 5 minutes to make in the morning and they give your body the nutrients that it so craves!  Putting raw leafy green leaves into your daily smoothie gives you one of natures finest nutrients, chlorophyll which we tend to lack in our daily food intake.  Chlorophyll is a blood and body cleanser, enhances energy, builds the blood, has anti-inflammatory properties, helps stabilize blood sugar levels helping with weight loss and cravings!  Its amazing so start blending...


Here is a anti-oxidant smoothie for you to try out to help boost your immune system to support you during these cold months.


The Immune Booster
1 cup of raw spinach leaves
1/2 cup of blueberries (frozen is fine)
1 banana
A handful of goji berries
1 cup of water


* For extra power try adding some green powder I love the Vitarmineral one
* To make it creamy add half an avocado (delicious!)
* To make it a superfood treat or to get kids to love it add some raw cacao powder & add some agave syrup!


Then just blend, drink and reap the benefits!  Enjoy!

    I've been drinking:
    Spinich, Kale, Parsley, Lemon, Green Apple and Ginger - not a cold in sight - depite the blizzards in NYC for a month!
