Raw Chocolate Mousse Recipe
January 25, 2011
Scrummy Humous
1 tin of chick peas
1 lemon
Tahini
olive oil
1 clove of garlic
pinch of fresh coriander
In a magi-mix put the can of chick peas (no water) squeeze the juice of the lemon, 1 table spoon of tahini, 2 table spoons of olive oil, 3 table spoons of water, the garlic and coriander (you don't have to use this - you could also try mint - it is delish!)
And blend... if it is too think just as a small amount more of water. - only add a little at a time. If you make it too runny you just need to add more chick peas!
Serve in a bowl and sprinkle a few chick peas on the top for decoration.
ENJOY!

Green Curry
Ingredients:
2 carrots chopped1/2 head of broccoli chopped1 fennel chopped1/2 handful of green beans chopped1/2 aubergine chopped1/2 red onion chopped2 cloves of garlic chopped1 large handful of fresh corriander chopped2 tins of coconut milk1 red chili (about half an inch, add more to taste) choppedfresh ginger - table spoon choppedThai green curry pasteolive oilhimalayan saltcraked black pepper
(optional prawns, chicken)
In a wok put some olive oil in the bottom on a high heat and add the red onion, ginger and garlic. Leave to simmer for 2 mins and then add a splash of water. (if you were to use chicken add this now and cook for 4 mins before adding the veg) Add the 'hard' veg first - carrots for 5 mins then the fennel and 1/4 of the chopped fresh coriander. Leave to simmer for 5 mins constantly stirring then add 1 tin of coconut milk and 1 table spoon of the green curry paste and stir. leave for a further 5 mins then add the green beans, aubergine and broccoli heads. then add half a tin more of coconut milk but all of the cream and 1/2 table spoon of the curry paste. leave to simmer and stir. (at this point you would add the prawns) Add another 1/4 of the coriander and the chopped chili and a pinch of himalayan salt and pepper to taste leave for a further 5 mins and then serve with brown rice and add the fresh coriander as a garnish.
Tips: if its to watery then add more of the coconut cream (not the milk) if you add more of this you will need to add more curry paste.
Enjoy!

Marrinated Tofu and Raw spinach salad
What you need:
300g Uncooked Tofu (hard is best)
Handful of Black olives
Half a Courgette
Handful of raw spinach
2 cloves of Garlic
pumkin seeds
Olive oil
Tamari
Ground coriander
pepper
Cut the tofu into large chunks and put into a bowl with a splash of olive oil, olives, pumpkin seeds, chopped garlic, table spoon of tamari and black pepper. Leave to Marinate for at least 30 minutes... the longer the better.
In a frying pan heat up some olive oil and add your marinated tofu with all the sauce, garlic and olives. Add your courgettes. Let the tofu cook on a medium high heat for 2 mins on each side then add the coriander and another table spoon of tamari and a slash of water. (at the water so that your food does not over heat and lose all the nutrients.)
Cook for a further 4 minutes until the courgettes are cooked and the water has evaporated.
Serve on top of a bed of raw spinach leaves and drizzle olive oil and balsamic over the top.
ENJOY!

You want to look out for vegetables, fruits, herbs and supplements that are high in antioxidants as this is what is going to support you to giving you a stronger immune system.
What are antioxidants? They are nutrients that we find in our food that help to prevent and slow down the process of aging and oxidative damage. Say Yes to Living Foods - New article on dare2mag.com
Sprouts are one of the most alkalising, nutritious and easily accessible foods know to man. Being rich in vitamins, minerals, proteins and enzymes, they can be grown easily in four to six days and require no effort and very little cost….
A sprout possesses all of the energy, vitamins and nutrients and power that enables it to be transformed from a small seed into a strong plant. At this stage its nutritional value is at its highest. for instance, sprouted seeds can contain 400% more protein than lettuce and over 3900% more beta-carotine.
Sprouts are living foods…
Sprouts are an alkalizing, living food which continue to grow and gain vitamins after being harvested, which when compared to food bought at the supermarket which begins to lose their nutrient content as soon as they are picked (and are not then consumed for weeks on end) become very attractive – especially if you are trying to add more raw food to your diet.
Spouts are so high in protein & easily digested…
The abundant enzymes in sprouts also makes them easily digestible as their delicate cell walls easily release elemental nutrients. They are high in protein so a great source for vegetarians and help to keep your blood sugar levels constant giving you lots of energy.
5 easy steps to grow your sprouts…
1. Buy your un-sprouted sprouts… alfalfa, broccoli, little radish, mung bean and there are also a range of mixes you can get

The Power of Positive Thinking...
We all like to dabble in a bit of self wallowing on time to time, I am guilty of that (!) but don’t you find that as soon and you start thinking negatively it gets worse and worse? This is because every thought you have brings another of the same pattern…. It is like a snowball effect and I know from my own experience that you can just sink deeper and deeper into thinking negatively, about a situation in your life or yourself… This is not a positive way to live your life and you can change that with a few simple and easy techniques.
Change starts within your own mind…
Visulise and believe you already have it…
So you would phrase it “ I am earning a £… in my ideal job which is …….” (fill in the blanks!)
I find the best way to do this is write down your list of affirmations and keep them beside your bed and first thing in the morning when you wake up say them out loud 3 times… When you say them, visulise and feel how it feels to have these things in your life. If your body and mind can feel the joy that it will bring you, it will come.
A daily inspiration to me is a wonderful woman called Louise Hay, she has several amazing books out, one of which is called “You can heal your life” and she has worked out the best affirmations to cure illnesses from the body. Trust me it works!
My wonderful Yoga teacher Durga Devi said to me one day, “As soon as you have a negative thought in your mind, counter act it immediately by saying the positive out loud” This really helps to train your mind into being positive. The more positive you are the more great things you are going to attract into your life.
Remember… if you are asking for a specific thing in your life, is there space for it mentally, emotionally and physically? The amazing Kundalini teacher Gurmukh said to my yoga class this weekend “If you have a glass of water and it is full but you want something else in there, you have to create the space first to be able to fill it with what you want…”
You are the only one that is stopping you…. Just say yes!
